Palliative Friendly

Welcome to Palliative Friendly. This is a group for people that work with, or are interested in, serious illness and the social and existential questions it brings up. 

The not-so-secret goal of this organization is to bring people together. We strive to have regular meet-ups to promote connection and exploration. Through our discourse, I hope that we can defamiliarize ourselves just enough that we can apply our acquired wisdom with new eyes. You can see the events that we have in the works. Additionally, if you have an idea for an events, please drop it in the suggestion box, and we will try to make it happen.

This is a repository of media that is related -- in some way -- to serious illness. The connection could be as direct as an illness narrative, or as far afield as a meditation on the knowability of another person's motivations (e.g. Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal).

We strive to make Palliative Friendly inclusive and responsive. The suggestion box is for everything from a great article you've read to an idea for an event to suggestion on how to make this website better.
